Fixing systems training: two sessions hosted in our Academy
Our headquarters recently hosted two important technical training sessions on fixing systems for construction, welcoming a group of engineers from the Order of Engineers of Bergamo and a delegation from ANCE Giovani Bergamo.
The training activities took place in our new company Academy, a space dedicated to the technical development of engineers, designers and construction professionals who want to deepen their knowledge of fixing and anchoring systems.
The initiative combined classroom training, hands-on installation and pull-out testing, offering participants a comprehensive technical learning experience.
Classroom training on construction fixing systems
The first part of the program was held in the training room of our Academy, with a theoretical session focused on the design principles and correct use of fixing systems in construction applications.
During the session, several key technical topics were discussed, including:
- selection criteria for anchoring systems depending on the base material
- behaviour of fixings in different construction substrates
- relevant standards and European certifications
- principles of anchor design and dimensioning
- best practices for the correct installation of fixing systems
This classroom session allowed participants to strengthen their technical knowledge related to the design and specification of structural and non-structural fixings.
Practical installation and anchor pull-out tests
The theoretical session was followed by a practical activity focused on the installation of fixing systems and the evaluation of their performance.
Participants had the opportunity to observe the installation process and attend pull-out tests on anchors, a key method used to assess the performance of fixing systems in different base materials.
This hands-on session helped connect theory with real-world applications, highlighting:
- correct installation procedures for fixings
- the influence of installation conditions on performance
- the behaviour of anchors under load
The pull-out tests were among the most engaging moments of the training, allowing participants to directly observe the performance of the fixing systems.
The new Academy: a hub for technical training
These training sessions further confirm the role of our company Academy as a reference point for technical training on fixing and anchoring systems for the construction sector.
The new Academy training room was designed to host technical courses, meetings with engineers and contractors, practical demonstrations and experimental testing, with the goal of promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the industry.
